Wessex Fleet Updates
We’re excited to announce we’ve onboarded another three Appointed Representatives (ARs) of Wessex Fleet, bringing the total number to 17, with another due in August.
The latest ARs to join us are Milease in Lancashire, Westfield Leasing in Buckinghamshire and Ready2Lease in Leicester. In a similar way to a franchised operation, AR leasing brokers use our resources for leasing deals and regulation.
The programme is designed to help existing brokers improve or increase their current offering. Most of our ARs are established businesses who already look after a blend of PCH/ BCH customers, providing vehicles from cars through to commercial vehicles. They range from asset finance companies looking to add vehicle finance, to franchise dealerships hoping to include a greater variety of manufacturers to those they already provide their retail customers.
Of the latest to join, Milease have spent a lot of time over the five years they’ve been operating, looking after retail customers across the UK. By using us as their AR Partner, they’ll be better able to keep costs under control and access bespoke offers, without having to rely on aggregators and cost marketing to reach customers.
Ready2Lease were looking for a new AR partner to replace their previous one. Trading since 2020, the founders have industry experience from their time at Novuna where they first met. Westfield Leasing services a loyal group of corporate clients, who they’ve built relationships with over the last 10-15 years of operating.
How are ARs selected?
Once we’ve received an initial application from a company that would like to join our programme, we review and cross-check information regarding their business and if we feel they’re aligned to our strategy, we arrange a Teams meeting or call to discuss things further, followed by an in-person meeting. It’s a requirement from all our lenders that our Appointed Representatives are members of the British Vehicle & Leasing Association (BVRLA).
If we decide we’d like to progress their application, we request a list of documentation to confirm their suitability and ensure they’ll operate with the highest financial integrity. When we’ve received all the information and are comfortable, we submit it to the FCA.
How do ARs benefit?
Once part of our programme, ARs access a competitive commission structure with 100% of the admin fee retained.
Our offering includes:
- 10 mainline funding partners
- Bespoke CRM system
- State-of-the-art customer facing website option
- Individual admin contact at Wessex Fleet
- Automatic call recording system
- Bespoke tactical offers
AR Manager Mat Williets said ” The programme has been going really well. Our ARs placed over 1,000 orders for the financial year ending May 2025, and our current run rate for this financial year has us set to double that!
Wessex Fleet work with the UK’s most reputable vehicle finance houses, including Alphabet, Arval, Ayvens, Drivalia, Leasys, Lex, Mobilize, Novuna, Santander and VGL. Being a Wessex Fleet AR gives you access to a cross section of these funders under your own brand name, meaning you and your brand can gain more competitive pricing.”
