Wessex Fleet are delighted to be supporting Salisbury Hospice Charity with their 2020 Christmas Tree Collection Campaign.

This Friday Will and Darren from Wessex Fleet will be taking a van and joining the charity to collect and recycle trees alongside the other volunteers who are working over this weekend. Once the trees are collected, they will be taken to local farms and chipped to be turned into animal bedding and compost. In return for collecting and recycling the trees all the charity asks for is a donation (suggested minimum of £10) that will go towards raising vital funds for the hospice.

The charity is running the ever-popular scheme in conjunction with Just Helping and is aiming to collect 900 trees with the goal of raising £9,000 from donations and this year 10% of proceeds after costs will also be donated to local charity “Love for Lewis”.

Tamsin Murley, Community Fundraiser for the Hospice Charity, said: “We cannot thank Will and Darren of Wessex Fleet enough for the use if their van and giving up their time to help us collect trees. We simply could not run this initiative without the support of local businesses and our wonderful volunteers”.

We at Wessex Fleet are proud to be supporting Salisbury Hospice Charity raise awareness for their hard work raising funds for Salisbury Hospice. The hospice offers nursing and medical care, occupational and physiotherapy, complementary therapies, as well as a range of emotional and practical support for patients and their families at an incredibly difficult time.
